Views while you Cruise

While the go-to water activity in The Callaghan might be a refreshing mountain creek dip post-sauna, pristine glacial-fed lakes beckon nearby. After a rewarding day of hiking or biking, nothing beats a revitalizing swim in Callaghan Lake. Plus, indulge in canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding for added aquatic adventures.

Callaghan Lake

The Callaghan Lake Forest Service Road is about 8.5 kms and takes you directly to Callaghan Lake from The Base, which takes about 20 – 35 minutes. We recommend using a vehicle with good clearance (4WD preferred). The trail to the lodge begins about 250m before you reach the lake, there is a dedicated parking area near the lake on your right. From there, the hike is 4.5 km and will take between 1.5 – 2 hours depending on your ability and fitness level.

You can also pedal your way up to the lodge through our Real Life and Wild Spirit trails, or opt for mechanized transportation to the lodge at an extra cost.
