With 18km of trails right in front of the lodge, you can experience Nordic skiing like nowhere else. Take in mountain vistas and quiet sub-alpine trails that feel like your own personal Nordic ski area.
Designed for relaxation and socializing, our lodge's common area is the heart of The Journeyman Lodge. Cozy up by the fireplace with a book, play board games, or unwind with fellow guests. It's the perfect spot to recount the day's adventures and make new friends.
You’ll find our sauna and creek just a few steps from the lodge. Indulge in a sauna session and cold plunge after a day in the backcountry. Dry heat soothes tired muscles, and cold water enhances recovery by promoting circulation, reducing inflammation, and providing a rejuvenating contrast that leaves you feeling refreshed and invigorated.
Our food and beverage experiences are an essential part of your backcountry adventure. Enjoy all sorts of tasty, diet-friendly meals cooked by our excellent in house chef. Options include hearty breakfasts, lunch options, and locally sourced multi-course evening dinners. All meals are served in our spacious dining room, which offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness.
Everything about this place comes together to make the Journeyman Lodge one of the PNW's best kept secrets. The fluffy pillow skiing, the welcoming family of staff, and cozy lodge make this a place we'll never forget. While we were there, we ran into one of the original Journeymen who built the lodge and it was really cool hearing all the stories about the place that he was very proud of!
Not only do they have insane backcountry skiing, they also have the most unique XC skiing around with super wide trails set in the old growth forest.

What an incredible wilderness retreat this is. The setting is truly unique, where you can go backcountry skiing, sauna, cross country ski, snowshoe or just hang by the fire with a book. Simon, Nate, Roman, Matt and the whole team were first class!
Whether walking, shoeshoeing or using waxable cross countryskis or waxless skis or skating skis, everyone at the communal dining table is bonded by a shared sense of exhilaration and challenge. And then further connected with the sharing of a creative and healthy dinner. And so it goes for the next days. The crew defines the warmth of hospitality.
Journeyman Lodge is a three-story, 5000-square-foot chalet that comfortably sleeps up to 24 people. Offering a range of options to suit your preferences, our lodge ensures a comfortable and memorable stay in the heart of BC’s wilderness.
The Solitude Suite includes mountain views, a large private balcony, private living room with pullout sofa, private ensuite bathroom, gas fireplace, and a Queen bed.
Considered our ‘hotel-style’ option, a small balcony, ensuite, private bathroom, and a queen bed make our Superior Suites special.
Our Standard Queen rooms come with mountain views, a Queen bed, and shared bathroom access.
With mountain views and two Twin beds, our Standard Twin rooms also feature shared bathroom access.
The Nook Queen offers a cozy space with a Queen bed in a shared space with shared bathroom access.
The Nook Twins offers a very cozy space with two Twin beds with shared bathroom access.
