INTRO to Backcountry + AST1 Guided Package

The Intro to Backcountry Touring + AST1 Trip provides four days of hands on and in-the-field learning and training with Journeyman Lodge as your remote yet comfortable “home base.” Our welcoming ACMG-certified guides and Avalanche Canada instructor designed this program specifically to give you, the beginner, the essential skills needed for any backcountry winter adventure. Comprehensive programming will introduce you to backcountry equipment, uphill track setting, descent line assessment, mountain weather, navigation, and decision making, and this package also includes a full Avalanche Skills Training Course.
