One of Whistler’s most spectacular waterfalls, Alexander Falls is found in the Callaghan Valley and accessible from the The Callaghan Base by snowshoe (rentals available at evo Callaghan). The waterfall drops an impressive 43 meters (141 feet) over three sections and is about 12 meters (40 feet) wide at its widest point. During the winter, the water typically freezes, producing spectacular ice formations visitors of all ages will love.
Parking is available with admission to The Callaghan.
Alexander Falls is easy to access by snowshoe. Choose between two dog friendly trails that meander through beautiful old growth forest until you’re face to face with this cascading giant. Snowshoes for the whole family can be rented first-come-first serve from the evo store at The Callaghan Base for grab and go exploration. Guests should check conditions before accessing the trail.
The Express trail takes you straight down to the base and back up again, or you can supplement your adventure with an added forest wander around the Alexander Falls Explorer trail.
